Complete description
Vintage Description:
Fresh and fragrant, this racy red has enticing woodland berry and violet scents and an earthy whiff of new leather. The lithe, elegant palate offers juicy red cherry, crushed red raspberry, cinnamon and star anise flavors framed by polished tannins and vibrant acidity. An outstanding performance for a cool, difficult vintage. (Kerin O'Keefe - Wine Enthusiast, 1st July 2018)wine:
wine title:
Nipozzanowine description:
Built as a fortress to defend the city of Florence, Castello Nipozzano has been the most famous and "historic" estate of the Frescobaldi family since the year 1000. In popular parlance, Nipozzano means "senza pozzo" = without a well, indicating a water-scarce area that was excellent for cultivating vines. The first records of the quality of Nipozzano wines date back to the Renaissance, when great artists like Donatello and Michelozzo Michelozzi used to order these wines.country:
