Gloria Burgenland QW 2019
Vinaria Sterne Bewertung: STARS_5
Falstaff Bewertung: 96
The Kollwentz estate vineyards are covering 3,2 hectares of Gloria. Due to its southeast exposure, the vines are pampered by the sun already early in the morning. Besides, the early heat ensures rapid drying of the berries. The grapes will therefore enjoy long hang-times in fall without being jeopardized by early noble rot.
The ripening period is slow because of the prominent height position of the hill and the cooling influence from the woods. Low vigor leads to reduced yields. Small bunches carrying small aromatic berries produce plenty of minerality and spiciness year after year.

Gloriawine description:
Gloria was first mentioned in documents in 1570 in the Forchtenstein estate register as a vineyard. It is located at an altitude of 300 to 325 metres above sea level, making it the highest vineyard in the Leitha Mountains. Thanks to its south-easterly orientation, the vines are bathed in sunshine early in the morning. The first rays of sunshine ensure early warming in the morning and rapid drying of the berries. This means that the grapes can remain on the vines for a long time in autumn without the risk of noble rot setting in too early. Due to the high altitude and the cooling influence of the forest, ripening is slow. The low, balanced growth also means that the harvest yield is exceptionally low. Small grapes with small, aromatic berries ensure the minerality and spiciness of Chardonnay Gloria year after year.country:

The single vineyard Gloria was mentioned for the first time in the land register of Forchtenstein in 1570. It stretches at an altitude of 300 to 325 meters above sea level and is thus the highest vineyard on the Leithagebirge. The woods enclosing this only 5,25 hectar small site on all sides have a cooling influence.Residual sugar:
