  • Complete description

    Vintage Description:

Bright golden yellow. On the nose, delicate nutty notes, fresh orange peel, mace, yellow peach, subtle herbal spice, which becomes increasingly deeper with exposure to air, taking on notes of damp straw and malt. On the palate, juicy yellow tropical fruit, delicate hints of passion fruit and pineapple, full-bodied, creamy and round, very harmonious and approachable, with a juicy apricot jam finish. Vinification:

The Noble Reserve is a non-vintage cuvée blended from ripe Trockenbeerenauslesen from several vintages.

    vineyard:

The grapes come from the Seewinkel region around Illmitz on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl. The Pannonian climate, with its warm days, cool nights and autumnal mists, creates ideal conditions for Botrytis cinerea (noble rot) – the foundation of great Trockenbeerenauslesen.

    Ernte:

The noble rot-affected (botrytised) grapes were selectively harvested by hand in several passes, as only those grapes that had shrivelled to the ideal degree were used.

    Soil:

    Ageing:

The wines used in the Noble Reserve Cuvée were aged exclusively in barriques and large wooden casks. This gives the blend its creamy texture, delicate flavour and complexity.
