The Jaro Vineyard was the first to be founded by Compañía de Viñedos Iberian upon one of the best Estates found in la Ribera del Duero, located in the famous town of Pesquera de Duero, Valladolid. It can be found barely a mile from the right-hand bank of the river Duero, surrounded by a humble forest of holm oak trees over hundreds of years old, called “Jaro“, which gives the Winery its name. Jaro is a relatively small Winery which is perfectly adapted to our philosophy, both with regards to the quality of our wines and the Vineyard Estate from which they are derived. In addition, it is where the different production and ageing procedures are undertaken in line with the strictest quality procedures. The 65 hectares of the El Quiñón Estate are mainly taken up by a 46 hectare vineyard, of which 41 ha. are dedicated to the Tempranillo grape, 2.5 ha. to Merlot and 2.5 ha. to Cabernet Sauvignon.
