Weingut Tement

The Tement winery is situated on a small mountain plateau, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of our single-vineyard ZIEREGG and the beautiful landscape of our neighbouring country Slovenia. Southern Styria is very well known for its outstanding white wines, which account for 95% of our total production. Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Weißburgunder, Morillon und Traminer are the main grape varieties grown. Steirische Klassik stands for light, fresh and fruity white wines. Grapes from different single-vineyards are used to produce these wines that are vinified in stainless steel tanks. Our Lagenweine (high-quality terroir wines) are obtained from fully matured grapes from most important single-vineyards. They are fermented slowly and in a traditional way. The maturation takes place in large or small oak barrels until the wines are ready for bottling.
