The vineyards are located within a radius of eight kilometres around the Winery, covering 35 hectares in three vineyards. The soils are mainly calciferous sedimentary rock with a high amount of sand. The annual average of precipitation is 400-450mm, which is the bottom line for vines. Against this backdrop, a main focus of our work is to improve the soil and build humus. Our primary grapes are classic varietals, like Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Zweigelt, and also Pinot Noir. Moreover, we are engaged in varieties which have been well known in other parts of this world, but which are newcomers in our region: In 1995, we planted the French grapes Syrah and Viognier for the first time
